2017 Orthodox Youth Day.

 

On Thursday, August 24th, 75 Orthodox Christians participated in our Annual Diocesan Youth Day held at Six Flags Great Adventure!

The Nativity of the Holy Virgin Church in Jackson, NJ graciously hosted breakfast and a Moleben of Thanksgiving prior to boarding the bus and heading to the park. It was a blessing to have His Eminence, Archbishop Michael present throughout the day.

 

The Department expresses its most sincere and heartfelt thanks to Archbishop Michael and to the clergy and chaperones who assisted us with making it another successful event in our diocese. We also especially extend our gratitude to Fr. John and Matushka Ludmilla Prokopiuk for their generous hospitality in preparing a delicious breakfast for us, as well as opening up their Parish Hall for us to use as our 'home base' each year.
